We survived the escape room!

The time limit was 1 hour. We had 23 minutes left on the clock, so not too bad. Especially since out of the 4 of us, 3 were escape room virgins.

The clues were pretty straight forward, although I didn’t appreciate the sudden introduction of math in order to solve one of the “spells” but it wasn’t impossible, just tedious.

Did my predictions come true?

1. The 2 super fans will overthink the clues. Yes and no. There was some overthinking with books in the room that had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with any clues except for ONE book that was actually a lock box. But also, some things clicked quickly.
2. I’m going to be too distracted by everything in the room to actually solve the clues. Yes. This absolutely happened. I can only imagine what it looked like to see 3 people gathering around one clue while one random girl walked around the room, poking and prodding the pictures, the drawers, and the cushion on the chair.
3. We WILL escape and it’s gonna be a BLAST!!  Also-fucking-lutely! It was tons of fun and we had an amazing time! The only thing I can say is I wish it had been an escape room with multiple rooms so we could’ve done it for a longer period of time.

Anybut, it was a fun experience and I can’t wait to do the next one!
