Found this old pic of my cat Lele being a creeper…
I’m falling, falling, falling….
I haven’t gotten stuck in a YouTube rabbit hole in a while…but know I’m trapped watching hours of videos….about the beauty guru dramas….which I reeeeaaaalllyyyy know nothing about.
But I’m learning a lot about how they make eye shadow pallets and a lot of the terminology.
Also how quickly it can go wrong. I really had no idea how large the community was…
HOWEVER!! I don’t watch any of the beauty gurus actual videos. But I know their names.
P.S- No, I will NOT name them so you folks can’t claim I’m using their names to pull in views….as tempting as that is.
Fair warning…
This is a post about finger nails.
I am not much of a makeup lover. I used to wear it every day. Now I literally only wear it for extremeley special occasions (the last time I wore makeup was my friend’s wedding and that was because I was a bridesmaid).
HOWEVER!! I love painting my nails. I love wearing fake nails. If I wasn’t such a terribly anti-social, shy timid mouse I’d get my nails done at a salon every month. Luckily, for my bank, I don’t (except when my friends want to go get it done, too).
I only spoil myself on 2 things beauty-wise. My hair and my nails.
Anybut, I’m really only bringing this up because I just finished glueing on new nails and I love the feeling of typing on a keyboard with new long nails.

I know they’re not LONG long, but for me (a habitual nail-biter) these are frighteningly long.
Also, I don’t even care how sloppy the glue is…these probably won’t last the week, anyways…I’m not very good at being careful with them.
By now, you all know of Squiddly Diddly. The plush Octopus I bought from Target who haunted my dreams unti I finally bit the bullet and brought him home.
But I have another undersea friend who’s been with me for a couple years…
Behold:
His name is Jerry. He’s a tiger shark who just wants to be your friend. He’s named for all the Jerry’s in the world….you know the ones…
Anybut, I got him…I think from the Maui Ocean Center…or maybe from the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach….I can’t really remember, but I like him. And I think he’ll make a great friend to Squiddly Diddly.

I’m at 69 WordPress followers…
Heh heh.

EDIT: I am now at 70 followers….this post is no longer valid.
I don’t know what to post…
It comes in waves really. Sometimes I have posts for days, but then I spend many hours staring at the screen…
And then posts like this happen. Short. Random. Pointless.
Anybut, see y’all tomorrow!!
Discussing things that happened…
Time to talk about 5 things that’ve happened and state my random opinion about them:
And that was 5 random news stories.
This isn’t going to be a regular thing cause some news is too repetitive. And I only want to cover small stories that interest me/stories people may not have heard about…and like one BIG story.
Anybut, thank you for joining me.
These were MY opinions on each. Your opinions may be different and that’s fine. Now on to more random things!!
I love to snack…
Nibbling on snack foods while I work actually, in a weird way, help me concentrate more…maybe there’s some science behind that…maybe not…whatever.
Anybut, I’m trying to find “healthier” snack foods to nibble. I’ve gone from potato chips to pretzels. I’ve nearly cut candy entirely from my life. I’ve started eating more yogurt, grapes, fruit snacks, and granola.
Am I doing this to lose weight? Partly (I’m going on a cruise in a couple of months and I want to be able to eat all the amazingly delicious food on the ship). Mostly, because I don’t want to feel like a gremlin…and my skin doesn’t break out as much when I cut out the greasy snacks.
This has been a random food (snack) update.
Today was my cat’s birthday…
Not my black kitten Midna, but our big boy Lele.
He turned 5 today and he got to go outside (supervised) and he got treats after dinner.

LOVE THIS FURRY PILLOW!!
Don’t get too excited…
I was very lucky. When I was in middle school I had the opportunity to travel to Europe. We went to England, Spain, and France.
But the focus of this story time is one night in Paris, France.
My french teacher thought it would be a good (and informative) idea to take a group of MIDDLE SCHOOLERS to see a musical in french.
What musical?
The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Now, the Disney Hunchback had already come out and we, the naive students we were, thought we were seeing a stage production of the Disney movie.
OH HO HO! Definitely NOT!
We were seeing a musical that didn’t resemble the colorful Disney film in the slightest.
It was Notre Dame de Paris…starring Garou and Bruno Pelletier.
Now for those of you who don’t understand why I put that pause there…well, it was kind of a big deal in France. It almost single-handedly revived musical theater in France (ok, confession, I looked this up and this is what Wikipedia says so…take that as you will).
Also, if you’ve ever heard of Il Divo, they sang the opening song from this musical…a lot.
The song is Le Temps des Cathédrales. Look it up and you’ll most likely say, “I’ve heard this song before…how is that possible?”
Well, a lot of classically trained singers >cough< Josh Groban >cough< love to sing this song.
It’s a gorgeous song, don’t get me wrong, but this isn’t exactly the point of this story.
Anybut, Bruno Pelletier was the one who sang this song and he became very famous for it. And Garou went on to become a very popular singer in France, too.
The point I’m trying to make…I was too young to really give a crap about who was in the cast.
And, spoilers, I fell asleep about halfway through Act I. I was barely a tween.
All I truly remembered about this show was that opening song (even as a kid I knew that was a killer song), Quasimodo having a very gravely voice, and actors climbing up and down a wall. That’s it.
Have I looked up the musical online and watched the whole thing? Yes. Did I do it mostly because I wanted to make sure I didn’t make up the entire thing? Also yes.
Whew…this was a longer post.
I guess the main point I think I was going to make was the fact there are things that happen in your life that seem like a small blip in your life. And then when you get older you realize that tiny blip was a larger blip for…well in this case an entire country…sort of? I don’t know. It’s 4 in the morning and I need to sleep.
Goodnight.
