My poor feet…
My kitten is adorable. I love her….but sometimes…SOMETIMES! She wants to play when I’m asleep.
And her favorite game is catch the feet beneath the covers. Now, when I’m AWAKE I don’t mind playing with her. But when I’m asleep…I don’t like being woken up by needles burying into my feet and tearing little claw marks into my skin.
I look like a shaving accident…

Semi-serious talk…
I don’t understand the concept of fandoms outcasting people who enjoy their…fandoms. And I mean like the need to outright call people fake fans if they don’t know every little detail about the topic, the creators, or whatever else.
Why can’t people just be allowed to enjoy things?
Big examples are Star Wars (currently), specific niches in fiction writing (this includes graphic novels, science fiction, philosophy, etc.), music, and so on.
I understand the need to protect something you love and something that maybe you were mocked for when you were younger or when the fandoms weren’t as popular. But attacking people because they don’t know every little detail…I mean, come on.
Am I guilty of this, too? Sometimes, yes. But other times I’m just thrilled someone has even HEARD of something I love. Do I know every little thing about things i love? No. But for some things I don’t think it should matter.
Music for example…I’ve been called a fake fan for a band I love just because I didn’t know the life story of every member…even if I’ve been a fan of the music since the first album and own every album the band has ever made…but because I don’t know where the drummer was born and where they moved to at age seven…FAKE FAN!!
Maybe music isn’t the best example, though. Mostly because…I don’t like bands. I like music. The only time the people behind the music affect my enjoyment is if they are themselves awful people (by that I mean pedophiles, murderers, bigots, etc.).
I won’t even touch Star Wars cause quite frankly, I don’t need the negativity. I grew up watching the movies with my dad. I’ve read many of the novels and played the video games…but I’m not a real fan according to some. Okay. That won’t determine my enjoyment of any of the films or aforementioned books and video games.
I can touch on (specifically) science fiction and fantasy books. I mean, I’ve been called a fake fan because I haven’t read specific series in each genre. Or at least, every single book in a series. But sure, I’m a fake fan of the ENTIRE genre of fantasy or science fiction because of that…uh-huh.
Anybut, these thoughts came up because of several recent events in the entertainment industry >cough< Star Wars >cough<. Everyone is allowed to their opinions on their fandoms. But attacking each other is immature and quite frankly embarrassing.
I just hate the feeling of elitism in fandoms. Let people enjoy the thing you love. Even if they don’t love it as much as you, it doesn’t mean they haven’t been affected in the same way.
Bottom line: Get OVER it!

The spider from the worst night ever (shameless post plug) has made a return appearance.

It’s torture….
All I want is ice cream. I have gift cards for ice cream…..
But I can’t because of my tooth. The chipped tooth that was ground down to make room for the veneer I’ll be getting in 2 weeks, hurts when anything chilled touches it. I can only imagine what frozen ice cream will feel like.
…..but I REALLY want ice cream.
Anybut, this has been a random food update.
My jaw hurts…
But not from work being done, just from holding my mouth open for so long.
I had 2 appointments over the past 2 weeks. Why?
I’m not ashamed. I had to get deep cleaning cause I’m not good at flossing. I’ve never been good at it, but I’m making a…drawing a line in the sand. I’m going to do better.
Oh, and I also, mainly, had to get the deep clean before I can get my chipped tooth fixed. Don’t want it rotting underneath the…why is the word vinyl in my head? That’s reallllly not the right word. Varnish? Nope, definitely not the right word.
VENEER!!! There it is (ironically there was a poster with this word next to me in the office the whole time I was in my appointment).
ANYbut, I got the chipped tooth grind down and they took a mold of my teeth. Now we wait 2 weeks for the tooth to get made (they don’t make them in-house) and then I’ll get another mold so I can get a night guard to stop me from grinding my teeth. Which was why my tooth chipped in the first place.
So, yeah, that’s my dentist update for the past 2 weeks.
I finally did something…
I’ve been meaning to do for years. I submitted writing to a few different places (for like competitions or general posting things).
There’s no real chance any of it will go anywhere or get picked for anything, but it’s one of those things I’ve been scared to do. It’s one of those things that I’ve wanted to do, but never felt confident to do it.
Now I think what’s the harm? They say no? Fine. Won’t stop me from trying again.
Anybut, it’s time to step out of the bubble…with baby steps.
So, I just finished watching…
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance for the second time (and the original Dark Crystal movie for the 100th time…okay that one is more lifetime number).
IT’S AMAZING!! Even if you don’t even know what The Dark Crystal is WATCH IT!! The amount of talent, artistry, and puppeteering involved is mind-blowing! It’s BREATHTAKING to see more of the story finally being fleshed out beyond comics and books.
I mean there are all kinds of puppets from small creatures and insects to human-sized works of ART!! The CGI they choose to use only amplifies the puppets without taking over! They truly wanted to get the feeling of the original movie perfect and they accomplished it!
Plus, you may recognize some of the voices…including a (not) surprisingly fantastic Chamberlain performance from Simon Pegg. Oh! And Mark Hamill as the Scientist Skeksis…I mean COME ON!
It’s on Netflix (this isn’t a sponsor or anything because I’m nobody important and I’m gladly promoting this for free), the whole FIRST SEASON. Ten episodes of Dark Crystal spectacle!
GET ON IT!!
Anybut, I highly enjoyed the season and can’t wait for season 2…..no really. I canNOT wait….NETFLIX!!! GIVE ME SEASON 2 ALREADY!!!!!
Also, fun fact: all of the episode titles are lines from the original film….I see you writers being clever…keep it up.

Nah.
But here’s one I took and couldn’t get over how thick my glasses are. I mean look at that right eye (my right eye, not the eye on the right)! It’s like a poorly photoshopped attempt to make my face look thinner, but I forgot to do the rest of my face!
Anybut….I’m not embarrassed to post the ugly pictures.
And yes, that is a zit on my face. Guess what? They never stop coming! Okay, maybe for some people they do…but don’t be surprised if you still get those little puckers well into your 30s!! (Especially if you’re like me and get stressed easily…they love stress)
Yesterday was the end…
The end of my goal to write/post every day. But I feel like I could still keep going.
Should I extend the goal to December 31st? Or should I try to keep it realistic to my personality and extend it to October 31st (since I got plans for October)?
I don’t know. I’ll just keep going I guess.
